Ron Curteis

General Manager

Ron was appointed General Manager of Hutchinsons New Zealand in December 2015 and is charged with delivering sustainable growth for our brands, brand owners and customers. He is highly motivated to ensure Hutchinsons is the benchmark in its sector and a fantastic place to work.

Ron’s background is in marketing and sales where has held key roles with Gillette, DB Breweries, Tiger Beer and Charlie’s. Prior to Hutchinsons he was General Manager of ABE’s Bagel Bakery, New Zealand’s biggest bagel and bagel crisp manufacturer.

Ron holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing & Management) from Otago University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Finance (Auckland University).

Tricia Garrard

Financial Controller

Tricia has over 20 years’ experience in sales and marketing-focused organisations.  Responsible for all accounting functions including accounts receivable, payable, reporting internally and externally, audit banking and insurance liaison, forex purchase, systems development sponsorship and implementation. Tricia has a passion for great customer service, system improvements and team development.

Tricia is a Chartered Accountant (CA) holding membership from 1992.

Tim Herrick

Sales Manager

Tim joined Hutchinsons in 2017 re-locating back to New Zealand from Australia. With over 13 years’ experience in large FMCG organisations, Tim has worked for some of the world’s largest FMCG companies and brands. Tim has held various roles with SCA Hygiene, Nestle, HJ Heinz, Tassal and Devondale Murray Goulburn. Tim is responsible for the development and implementation of commercial strategies with our key retail customers.  He is passionate about developing business relationships, people and brands and is motivated by the fast pace of change and challenges working with customers and consumers in FMCG.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Marketing & Management from Victoria University of Wellington.

Andrew Phillips

National Field Sales Manager

Andrew joined Hutchinsons in June 2018 as the National Field Sales Manager where he is responsible for 7 Territory Managers and 42 Merchandisers across New Zealand.

With over 18 years’ experience in sales and management, Andrew began his career with Tip Top in Wellington and more recently has held a number of Field, Head Office and National Sales roles within British American Tobacco NZ.

Andrew is passionate about developing and driving a winning team culture, building long-term and rewarding relationships with customers, and ensuring that Hutchinsons and its Brand Partners achieve continued growth and success within the FMCG environment.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) from Otago University

Xandria Chong

Supply Chain Manager

Xandria joined Hutchinsons in 2018 with over 17 years’ experience in logistics and supply chain management. Xandria specialises in FMCG and has worked with a number of multinational corporations in the US, Asia, UK and New Zealand. With extensive experience in procurement, inventory control, supply and demand chain management, Xandria is highly motivated to ensure there is product available to meet consumer demand and that organisational objectives are achieved.

Xandria holds a Bachelor of Economics (Analytical Economics) from the University of Malaya and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management.

James Ravlich

Marketing Manager

James joined Hutchinsons at the start of the 2019 having returned from 5 years in the Netherlands where he was Global Marketing Manager for De Kuyper, a premium spirits and liqueurs business.  Prior to that he was with Mars, also in the Netherlands. In New Zealand, James has had extensive marketing and distributor management experience managing brands across beer, cider and liquor, including Carlsberg, Somersby and Stolichnaya.  James is passionate about building strong brands and bringing new and innovative products to market.

James holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) in Marketing & Management from Otago University.
