Our food rescue organisation is based on overseas best practice combined with years of hands-on experience and solid governance. We are resourceful, efficient and always seeking to improve.
Since 1883, The Salvation Army has fought poverty and social and spiritual distress in New Zealand.They’ve been there to help more than 120,000 families and individuals in need each year—with budgeting advice, food and clothing assistance, life skills programmes and other comfort and support. The Salvation Army are committed to their mission of caring for people, transforming lives and reforming society.
Fair Food is Auckland’s First Food Rescue Charity, working to deliver its vision of ‘Addressing Hunger and Tackling Food Waste’. This dynamic organisation has delivered on its strong environmental and social goals across the West Auckland region since its inception in 2012 and is excited about the future prospects for Food Rescue in New Zealand.
